It seems with all that Satan, through the world and it’s system and the wicked hearts of evil men, has been throwing at us politically, in terms of health, and with all of the pressures of fear in American cities, many are losing hope and turning else where for relief. However, if indeed you are a true Christian, then you should “fear not” nor lose hope.

Now I know saying this is pretty easy, but I want to offer just a few passages out of Isaiah that would be good for us all to think upon today.

Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is My law; fear not the reproach of man, nor be dismayed at their revilings.” Is. 51:7

Have we received a new heart of flesh? And has the law of the Lord been written on our new hearts? (Jeremiah. 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:22-32)

Listen to Me, you who pursue righteousness, you who seek the LORD: look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from which you were dug.” Is. 51:1

Are we truly pursuing righteousness, especially through His written word? Are we truly seeking the Lord? Or are we seeking our own paths, our own hopes, our own sources of healing which cannot heal?

What then shall we avoid and what shall we do?

DO THIS:

Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the voice of His servant? Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the LORD and rely on His God.” Is. 50:10

DO NOT DO THIS:

Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who equip yourselves with burning torches! Walk by the light of your fire, and by the torches that you have kindled! This you have from my hand: you shall lie down in torment.” Is. 50:11

Let us never look to another for hope, let us never take our eyes off of the person of Christ, the realities of Christ and the Word of Christ. May we set our sights like flint towards Jesus, “the author and perfecter of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:2)

May the Lord be glorified and sought after while their is still time; may we be edified and set free; may many come to authentically know the Lord God, by the only ‘way, truth, and life‘, Jesus Christ. Amen.
